S.A.L. VETERANS MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

The Sons of the American Legion Harry White Wilmer Squadron 82 in La Plata, Maryland, offers the S.A.L. Veterans Memorial Scholarship Grant, awarding two $3,000 scholarships to graduating seniors from La Plata High School who are U.S. citizens and plan to attend an accredited college, university, or trade school full-time. Applications are due by April 24, 2026.
The scholarship committee evaluates candidates based on several criteria, including a minimum GPA of 2.75, awards, athletic participation, community service, leadership roles, and the military service of immediate family members. The committee’s decision is final. Winners will be notified by phone, and funds will be sent directly to the selected educational institution.
